It still squeaks and has no holes in it. It is made of thick rubber. I bought one for my daughter's dog who is 50 lbs, but is a chewer. She took a chunk out of it the first day. No damaged enough that it was unsafe and that she had to take it away. Her dog also really enjoys this toy.
